The Tipsy Tomato

Sorry no pictures to go with this review due to i ate the pizza too quick. This is by far the best pizza I have ever had. Crisp crust delicous pie. Tried the Margherita pizza and also the pepperoni as well. Hands down best pizza ever. We come to Rocky Mount for baseball tournaments often and this is the first time coming here. Will definitely make this a must stop from now on. If I lived here I swear I would eat here weekly. Tonight it was extremely busy due to the baseball teams that came here for pizza but we understood. There is a wiffle ball field beside the pizzeria so all the kids had a blast while we waited. I dont care if it was a 2 hour wait this pizza is worth it hands down. If you live in Rocky Mount and havent came here my question is what are you waiting for???? Great job to the staff here. Yall really make good pie. Hopefully Dave Portnoy comes down to the Carolinas and blesses yall with a 9.0 or better.

My husband is a traveling nurse, and I only bring that up. So people know we have had Pizza from all different states, but I have to say their Bianca Pizza is the best Pizza I've had in forever. It had the perfect fire flavor without being burnt. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.The atmosphere was fantastic, and i'm writing this review a little bit late, i will be heading there to have my second visit and some more.Awesome pizza. I included lots of pictures, including of the bathroom to show you how well kept and clean they are.

Cute place in Rocky Mount. Pizza was really good. Sweet crust matched with savory top. I didn't have the wings but my family did and gave them a huge thumbs up! Staff was really nice. I will note the inside is small. Six tables maybe so not much room. We were there when it was rainy but they do have outside seating which would be great if the weather is good.

We ordered takeout, the Buffalo chicken pizza and Margherita pizza were both very delicious. The inside dining area is pretty small but the atmosphere is nice. The staff is super nice as well. You can see the oven from your seat and the prep area is open as well, that gives me confidence in the cleanliness of the people in the kitchen. Overall a very nice local pizza spot.

So the family and I ventured off to the Tipsy Tomato on Mother's Day. My better half wanted to try brick oven pizza and selected this location. It was pretty easy to find and there was more than enough parking. The area seem busy and facilitated quite a few restaurants. I could hear what sounded like live music in the background. It was a nice atmosphere - and The Tipsy Tomato's outdoor tables were perfect for enjoying it all. Two kids ordered personal pepperoni pizzas. The other ordered a personal cheese pizza and we ordered a large margarita pizza. The personal cheese pizza was described as a really good bite! The pepperoni pizzas were devoured without manners. But the wife did not enjoy the margarita pizza. The typical toppings on the margarita pizza is tomatoes, basil leaves and pockets of cheese atop. All together they make a pretty good bite. On ours, the basil leaves were extremely sparse and no tomatoes were found on top. As the wife tells it, It didn't make for a very tasty bite in comparison to other places, where we have ate this pizza. Nonetheless, the pizza was good, but the problem really arrived for her in the sauce. Simply put, it was just too spicy. For me the sauce was not too spicy but I could recognize where it would be for her. The pizza was good but I could definitely see where the tomatoes and a proper compliment of basil leaves would enhance it. With all being said, it is definitely a restaurant that we would go back to. The employees were super friendly and the service was quick, efficient and easy going. We just wouldn't order a Margarita Pizza. The other pizzas were raved about and the atmosphere definitely was pleasant.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside and is surprisingly small upon entering. Seating inside is limited. But then our pizzas came out. The pizza was amazing! Delicious sauce, crust and toppings. We had the carnivore and the margarita pizzas. Can't recommend enough! They also had a nice selection of beers on tap along with some assorted cans. It's over 5 hours from home but we will stop by whenever we are traveling and are in the vicinity.
